Setting a Record
Which tests are eligible for World Record tracking?
For the 2026 season, three tests are available for World Record setting: Fran, Heavy D.T. and Albion. Exact weights and repetitions are published with each Test Announcement on the IF3 website.
How can I set a World Record?
Records may only officially be set or broken at in-person, live IF3 events where the benchmark test is run under IF3 judging. The initial Senior records were set by 2025 World Champions Mirjam Von Rohr and Tommaso Pieri; the men's Fran record was then beaten at the 2026 iF3 Pan-American Championships. Each season's record opportunities are published with the Test Announcements on the IF3 website.
What about Masters and Junior records?
The first Masters and Junior records were set on Fran at the 2026 iF3 Pan-American Championships and are listed above by age group. Heavy D.T. and Albion Masters and Junior records will be added as they are set at in-person events. An age group with no card yet simply has no ratified record.
Can a Master or Junior set a record in the Senior division?
Yes — anyone can register for the Senior Division regardless of age, provided they perform the Senior weights and reps. To compete in both Senior and your Masters/Junior division, register separately (two Circle21 accounts).
What if I don't have a National Federation?
Anyone can take part in IF3 World Record events even without an active National Federation — though athletes without a federation are ineligible for prize money when setting or breaking a record.
Are National Records tracked too?
Yes. The leaderboard can be filtered by country to determine who holds the National Record in each test.
